Zaption : Don't just watch but Learn

I have used Zaption for IB year 12 learners to get instant feedback or opinion about the topic before I start the lessons. Using Zaption at the beginning of a lesson can give me valuable information about what learners know before I even begin teaching.  I might be able to quickly spot learners or entire classes  that can place out of individual lessons because they have already mastered the content or concepts that we are about to study. It is related to the PATS - Thinking skills (critical thinking) Example : Nabilah in Year 12's answering the question How technology impacts society in Malaysia?

With the Zaption’s analytics, teachers will get immediate feedback on how learners interact with the content and understand key concepts. Also teachers will keep on track which learners not completed their work or assignments.

Example : Percentage of viewers for topic technology has impacts on society in Malaysia.

Core topics : Media and Communication - Cyber bully (Buli Siber)

This topic looks at how people interact, transmit and gather data for the purposes of information and entertainment. Aspects covered in this topic are Internet and advertisement. Also in this topic learners have learned and discussed about cyber bully among teenagers and also how advertisement influenced people. In this topic year 12 come out an idea to create the "Cyber Bully Awareness" brochure and their target audience which is Nexus International school learners from year 7 to year 9. Core Topics : Global Issues - Global Warming (Pemanasan Global)

In this topic year 13 learners will do research about current matters and future scenarios that have an impact at a regional, national and/or international level, bearing in mind that they needs to be addressed from the perspective of the target language’s culture(s). Aspects covered in this topic are drugs and global Warming. For this topic year 13 learners have done comparison between countries and they have learned how to produce I-movie about global warming in the world in the target language.

    

Year 12 are creating blogs for Malay B (SL)

The purpose of creating the blog is to make sure that year 12 learners are organised by having all of the files or documents in one place. The blogs can be used as a reference for the readers who want to know what IB Malay B (SL)course is about.
